Comparison between God’s timing and man’s timing

2 Peter 3:8, “8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”

Psalm 90:4, “4 For a thousand years in Your sight Are like yesterday when it is past, And like a watch in the night.”

1000 years = 1 day
8.3 months = 1 min
Approximately 4 days = 1 sec

Pastor Amos did a tongue in cheek comparison with regard to man’s and God’s definition of time based on the above 2 scriptures. Interestingly, if God takes 1 sec to respond and answer to our prayer, we would get our answer in approximately 4 days time. Please bear in mind not to be too dogmatic about the above calculation. However, allow it to help us adopt a better perspective on waiting on our Lord for our prayers to be answered.
