Matthew 5:16, “16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
I am born into a Christian family and my grandmother and mother had always been the one who make an effort to bring everyone to church every Sunday. It might not be obvious then, but being raised in a good Christian family has in a way given me an inward consciousness of right and wrong.
I was sent to study overseas at the young age of 10 and I was forced to be much more independent and mature than the rest of my peers.
Through the year, God’s kindness and blessings in my family have been very visible. At my secondary school graduation, a close friend of mine came up to me and mentioned that if it were not for my advices and friendship, he would have ended with a gang which might have indirectly affected his studies and possibly future. I was thankful to hear the good news and I am proud to say that the teachings in church have made a positive impact on other people’s lives.
