When I was in Taiwan doing my overseas intership, there was this church building near my hostel that I rode pass every now and then. One night, I was very bored and somehow I felt compiled to ride my bicycle to that church. It was around 10 pm and that area was quiet. Since I was free and bored, I decided to do just that. Although the church was closed, that night, there was this bulletin at the front of the church building. It was stating the story of Jesus, His resurrection and God’s will to save mankind. I read it and suddenly I felt so touched that tears flowed uncontrollably down my cheeks. No body was around, I wept as I read. It was weird and I do not understand what was happening. I felt touched by the story although I have heard it hundred of times. However I never gave much thought about it afterwards and carried on my life after returning to Singapore. Today I understand that this is the supernatural touch of God.
From this experience, I learned that you will never know when God can use any Christian books, songs, movies etc to just touch someone out there at the least expected moment. Just like myself reading the story of Jesus outside that Taiwanese church and God could make me weep.
